Poetic-melancholy fine art black and white landscape photography and wall art photography – always with a touch of vintage style in remembrance of the analogue photography times during the studies. Thomas Finkler loved to work with the kodak t-max p3200, a high-iso black and white negative film with a fascinating grain, perfect for amazing fine art experiences. The award winning series “franconian tranquility" is the most personal minimal nature photo series by Thomas Finkler.
Many images were shot "just around the corner" in the nearby countryside of nuremberg – the artist's hometown in germany, bavaria, franconia – by visiting the favorite hot spots again and again through the years and seasons. Please note: the monochrome artworks are sorted by seasons from spring to winter.
Inspired by multiple exposure photography techniques photo artist Thomas Finkler added some fine art black and white composite photography images to the series. Abstract surfaces and patterns of grasses swaying in the wind, combined with monochrome photographic art of nature and landscape with a touch of vintage. By making use of these post-processing techniques Thomas Finkler creates black & white art photography which reflects his personal vision. The "series within the series" is always titled "lost in tranquility" and will extend the variety of compositions and photographs in a conceptual way of thinking.
